28th September - Jersey changes Hi John Here are the latest pics of my K3 I think I`m just about done hmmm ,I started with the LSL handlebar conversion then came the belly pan and seat cowl, next the high level devil magnum exhaust, and mirror extenders no more elbows! last but definitely not least is the SV Gel seat that was the hardest bit to get but thanks to the boys at Naturecoast motorcycles Florida and seven weeks wait my arse is eternally grateful. all the best Phil O`Neill .Jersey. Looks good phil. The handlebar conversion is a lot easier on the mk2 SV and blends in well. I'm tempted to get a belly pan myself, just adds something to the bike. |

28th September - Scotland calling Thought I'd send you a couple more pictures. You may remember I sent you some last year as well. Myself and some colleagues from work did what has now become our yearly biking holiday around Scotland again. We probably won't go again next year as we have been far to lucky with the weather. The last 2 years have been glorious, despite getting soaked on the ride up there. We decided to base ourselves in one area this time for the entire week and chose Fort William. The place we stayed in was a climbing training centre called Caluna and was ideal for the 8 of us to stay for the week. We didn't see as much of Scotland as we had the previous year, but the rides round Loch Ness and the Glencoe area where fantastic. Bit of a trek up there in one sitting, about 300 miles from where I am in Yorkshire. Would defiantly recommend it to anyone thinking of going on a biking holiday. Second month in may seems to be a pretty good time to go. I have included a number of pictures of my bike looking rather dirty and some of the new exhaust and powder coated wheels which were fitted before the trip. Thanks Calvin I think you've been very fortunate with the weather. Hope it continues for you. Oh and good luck keeping those wheels clean. |

22nd September - Binned it forum Hi John. I have been a member on the Org for a while now, and love the community feel of the place. I intended to buy an SV, hence I was a member for a long time before I even had a bike! I then bought a bandit due to a good deal. Following this I noticed there are no places like your site for Bandit owners. So I decided to do something about it. I am starting a forum for bandit owners at www.banditforum.co.uk , and as cheeky as it may seem, I wondered if we could trade links. Seems quite hard to make a new forum popular! Due to the nature of the site, I understand if you may say no. It's not a problem, and I will continue to contribute to the org. If you don't ask you don't get right? (I am cheekylemon on your forum). Keep up the good work matey. Rich Not cheeky at all. I'm sure there are Bandit riders who frequent this site. Good luck. |

9th September - Tiger SV. Hello John, My name is Julian and I am from spain , I want to send you a photo of my SV motorcycle , maybe you would like to put it on your web page . regards from Spain Julian I like this. I don't think this is a compete paintjob, just a normal black SV with the orange panels added. Along with the pinstriping on the wheels this bike looks very nice. Simple but effective. |

1st September - Red lights. Hi John Please consider this as your September front page photo. (img4069)..a little different from normal but still captures the fun of the SV. More photos are available.!! Japanese Bike... English plates (and flag) Austrian girl in Holland... I've heard for everything else there is matercard... Regards Mackeral I replied:Ben, Yes I like that. Looks like curtains in the background, you don't keep the bike in the front room do you? Hi John Nearly, its sat in the kitchen, I'm over here working in Holland so have rented a house that has big patio doors at the back so the bike can drive straight in...I'd never get away with it at home, the wife wouldn't be impressed. The plan is to take the bike to the red light district and get a hooker to sit on the bike for a photo...when I get it I'll forward it on...a good photo for the boys!! (well...I'll look forward to that) Cheers Ben |

1st September - Brighter lights. Hi John, I'm sure you already know and have been told by many what a useful site you have created for all the SV enthusiasts around the globe including a new comer like myself. Keep up the good work and if the space allow please add these pics of my SV with HID fitted. I wrote back asking about his views on the HID conversion. This HID by IIKDO (Japan) produces the sort of light (6000k-8000k) similar to BMW cars. This type of xenon light conversion kit has been available for cars for sometime now but many companies have recently made them available for bikes. The beauty of this particular kit is that it comes with its own separate power adaptor and doesn't draw much from the bike's battery. (No, I don't work for them). Anyway, its the best mod I have done to my bike. Now when I go out for a blast at night I dont get those slow car drivers blocking my way anymore as they usually move out of the way pretty quickly =) Cheers, Cknin |

September Ramblings August was a fairly quiet month for me. Went away to Crete for a week with the family and had a great time. Driving around over there was an interesting experience. All the drivers are quite mad, no place for the faint hearted. I like to see what the biking culture is like when I go abroad. Crete was interesting due to the fact that scooters and quad bikes out number everything else 10:1. Very few helmets worn, that includes the big bikes too, but at least the guys on bigger bikes wore long trousers and jackets. I did spot one mk1 SV whilst there, but most of the bigger bikes were Kawasaki's or Yamaha's. My SV hit the 8k mile mark in August. So I treated her to a service. I also managed to wear the back tyre down to the point of being bald in the centre. My own fault, I left it quite late to order the tyre from my supplier and then he had trouble getting a Conti Road Attack in my size from his suppliers. The factory in Germany was on holiday so that further complicated things. In the end he managed to get a Conti Race Attack and that's now fitted. I noticed while fitting the tyre that the hugger is doing a pretty poor job of keeping chain oil off the underside of the bodywork. You can soon see why when you look straight down from the pillion seat, the guard doesn't extend far enough over the chain. I've since added an extension piece made out of an old DVD case and glued into place. Another top bodge. I'm writing this on September 2nd and it's nice and wet here in Shropshire. The weather seemed to go bad the day we arrived back from Crete on 1st August and now it feels like Autumn. Time to make the most of what's left of the summer. John |
